For the World Card Making Day sketch #2 from Sketch N Scrap you have to make a card with the following sketch.

 

I immediately thought of a rubbery lace that I have. I have build the rest of my card around this lace. I found two delicate watercolor patterned papers that complement the lace beautifully.

 

 

Out of one of the patterned papers I have fussy cut one of the flowers to pop up as an accent.

 

 

I printed the sentiment on a pink paper and used some orange paper to make a stitched border.

 

 

I used some vellum to back the lace so that it stands out a little better from the background.

Happy Halloween Family...

For The Crazy Challenge #259 you had to make a Halloween card. At first I didn't know how to start because Halloween isn't really celebrated here in Belgium but its getting bigger and bigger every year :). In school for the little ones there is usually a costume party!

I found these cool stickers at Lidl (a grocery store) they had some fun dimension and I loved them.

 

 

I used some patterned paper from the Craft Unlimited 4 Seasons paper pack. The small black strip is glossy and is actually part of the packaging of the stickers.

 

The sentiment I printed on some orange cardstock from my stash. The font is called October Crow. If you like the font you can download it here.

 

I distressed the edges of my patterned paper with some Momento Grape Jelly. I don't have a fancy blending tool so I just used a cotton pad.

Lovely butterflies...

I made another card! This time for a Ooh La La Creations challenge. For this challenge #239 you have to use die cuts.

 

I used these dies that I bought at the Action. Here is my creation!

 

 

The butterfly stamp is from Craft Sensations and the sentiment stamp I bought at Wibra. I used some gold pigment ink from Color Box to stamp everything on a black cardstock. I only have stamping blocks but if I had a stamping positioning tool (like a Misti) I probably would have gotten a better result. But I still love it!

 

 

I popped up the sentiment with some foam tape for some added dimension.

 

 

On my cardbase I splattered some gold pearlescent paint from Craft Sensations for some added interest.

 

 

The butterfly dies are cut from some gold mirror cardstock from my stash.

Simple but fun fall card...

For the Crafty Sentiments Design challenge you could choose between Halloween or Fall,

or maybe both.

I've chosen Fall!

To create my card I used a clear stamp from Craft Sensations and stamped it in Momento Tuxedo Black. I colored the image with some alcohol markers. For a list of the markers I used you can scroll to the end of this post.

As an accent I used some natural twine across my cardbase and made a cute bow. 

The panel behind the stamped and colored piece is actually a brown paper with a gold shimmer.

Add an animal...

Yep another challenge. I love doing these :) This time for The Crazy Challenge blog, CCH # 258.

 

The challenge is to add an animal. This is great challenge because I love animals!

 

I made a simple BABY card with a cute giraffe.

 

 

 For the word BABY I  used some fun foam letters.

 

 

To embellish my card I use some dark blue ribbon. I popped up the giraffe with some foam tape. Isn't he cute?

De 100ste challenges is een Herfstbingo kaart. Mijn eerste bingo challenge!

 

The 100th challenge is a Fall-bingo card. My fist bingo challenge!

 

 

Ik heb voor mijn kaart de twee onderste horizontale rijen gebruikt. Namelijk herfstkleuren, bladeren en echt hout en paddenstoel, tekst en kraft.

 

For my card I used the two bottom horizontal rows. These are fall colors, leaves and real wood and mushroom, text and craft.

 

 

Het papier komt uit het Craft Unlimited 4 seizoenen deco blok van bij Boekenvoordeel.

Het echte hout was het moeilijkste element maar toen dacht ik aan dit houten blad dat ik in een set kocht bij de Action. Ideaal voor deze challenge. Ik heb het blad gekleurd met een alcoholmarker ook van bij Action.

 

The real wood was the hardest element but then I thought of this wooden leave I bought in a set at a store called Action. Ideal for this challenge. I colored the leave with an alcoholmarker also from Action.

 

De tekst schreef ik zelf want ik had niet echt een stempel die bij dit ontwerp paste. Het is zeker niet perfect maar goed genoeg :)

 

The text I wrote myself because I didn't have any stamps that fit my design. It's not perfect but it's good enough.

W&W September Color Combo Challenge...

I made another card! This time for the Winnie & Walter September Color Combo challenge with Heather H.

This wasn't an easy card because these aren't colors that I usually use. I looked trough my patterned paper and found the perfect paper with al the different browns.

 

The cross patterned inspired me to use some cross stitches in a bright red color.

 

I have chosen for a snowflake pattern. For my cardbase and the background for my snowflake I used some black cardstock.

Unconventional Christmas...

I did another challenge :) no surprise here. This time from Incy Wincy Designs called Unconventional Christmas. Basically make a Christmas card with either an image 

that isn't Christmassy or colors which aren't traditional.   I though hard about this one. I have a lot of Christmas stuff but its all fairly traditional. I though about using some red and teal Christmas patterned paper but I didn't think this would be unconventional enough.   Finally, I came up with the idea of making a totally black and white Christmas card and here it is!  

 

I popped up one of the ornaments and the sentiment with some foam tape. By the way the sentiment says Christmas in Dutch. For some added interest I splattered some black pearlescent paint over the background. You can't really see it in the pictures (the natural light was horrible today) but it's there.
