A trip to the zoo..

For the Sketch-N-Scrap #145 you had to follow the next sketch.

 

For my grandmothers birthday we (she and her grandkids) went to the Beekse Bergen. This is a zoo in the Netherlands not far from Belgium.

 

 

I used some fun animalprint patterned papers for the middel part and the flags. I popped up the flags for some added dimension. You can see the cute baby elephant in the picture!

 

 

 I printed my sentiment and text in black and green on some orange and green paper to coordinate with my patterned paper.

 

 

I used two wood pieces to finish off my layout .

All you need is love...

For card sketch #114 at the Sketch-N-Scrap  you have to follow the sketch you see below.

 

If you've see the My first layout... post, you'll know that purple is my hubbies favorite color. If you haven't seen it you can find it here. So I made my hubby a purple valentines day card.

I popped up my die-cut doily with a layer of foam tape and the die-cut hearts with two layers.

I love this little sentiment...

Be mine...

The January Challenge at Kat Scrappiness is to make something Clean And Simple.

 

Valentines day is getting closer so I thought lets make a Valentines card and this is what I came up with. 

 

I used some fun patterned paper, a tag, some backers twine, a die cut heart and some heart sequins.

 

 

I popped up the heart die cut and tag with a layer of foam tape and the sequins with an additional layer.

 

 

Before I made my card I didn't know that I had to use a Kat Scrappiness product to enter the challenge. Unfortunately I don't own any products of Kat Scrappiness (yet) and because I live in Belgium the shipping cost are pretty high and the delivery takes a long time.

 

But I wanted to share my card with you guys anyway.

A lovely birthday...

Card sketch #113 at Sketch-N-Scrap, that you can see in the picture below, is a fun one. I love the use of the flags.

 

In the photo below you can see most of the products I used...

 

 

...and this is what I came up with.

 

 

I popped up the center panel with a layer of foam tape and the sentiment and flags with an additional layer.

 

 

I love how this patterned paper has some fun glitter accents.

My first layout...

For the Sketch-N-Scrap #144 sketch you have to follow the sketch you see below.

I never made a layout before but I really love the price for this month at the Sketch-N-Scrap so I wanted to maximize my winning chances.

 

I got married last year so I though lets make a layout about that and here's how it looks.

 

 

Our wedding theme was rustic with purple (the favorite color of my hubby) and silver (the color of my dress) as accents colors.

 

 

The doily was actually a decoration I used in the wedding. The small hearts I made from some purple fimo and some air drying clay that I spray painted silver. (They were supposed to be table confetti but they never made it on the tables.) I added the wooden heart to balance out the wooden sentiment.

 

 

Love Life, well because is he is the love of my life ;).

 

 

The paper behind the pictures is a glossy metallic silver paper. For the strip of paper behind the pictures I chose a craft color because our invitation were craft colored with some purple accents.

Vintage rose wedding...

Voor de 11de challenge van 2 Sister on the blog moet je een vintagekaart maken.

Niet direct mijn stijl maar ik dacht waarom ook niet. Ik ging op zoek naar inspiratie tussen al mijn hobbymateriaal en ik vond een Mijn Hobbykaart (nr.63) met een super leuk vintage design-tje in voor een trouwkaart.

 

 

Ik heb dan alle onderdelen uitgeknipt en een eigen compositie gemaakt. Hoewel de voorbeeld compositie zeer mooi is, dacht hier toch wat anders mee te kunnen.

 

 

Ik koos er voor om de rozen linksboven te plaatsen zodat deze in evenwicht zijn met de rozen rechtsonder. Daarna plaatste ik de twee ronde accenten linksonder en om weer het evenwicht in de kaart te behouden de twee hartjes rechtsboven.

 

 

Ik miste nog wat donker aan de rechterkant dus plaatste ik hier het label met nummer.

 

 

Om de kaart af te werken gebruikte ik nog twee lagen Glossy Accents op de 'koper' kleurige elementen.

 

Als je mijn kaart leuk vind of je hebt vragen, laat dan een berichtje achter bij de opmerkingen.

The first Christmas card...

The Incy Wincy Designs Challenge, that is to create something with Red and Green, inspired me to create my first Christmas card of the year. Let just hope that I don't lose it in all of my creative mess ;).

 

So this is it!!!

 

 

It's a clean and simple card using some patterned paper.

 

 

For some added interest I added some Glossy Accents on the holly berries.

Winter wonderland...

For The Crazy Challenge, this time you had to create something with a Winter Wonderland theme.

 

This is what I came up with.

 

 

I used some fun patterned and glitter papers. I also used a wreath (holly) and deer die, cut from some white cardstock. I doubled up the wreath for some added dimension.

 

 

I printed the sentiment on some white cardstock (It says Hello Winter in Dutch :) almost the same as in English) and finished the card with a piece of holly from some more glittered cardstock.

Snowflakes...

For the Crafty Sentiments Design challenge for this week you had to create something with snowflakes. I made this fun teal and red card.

 

I use some teal, red and white patterned paper with abstract snowflakes. The paper has some fun glitter accents.

 

I embossed my sentiment and some more snowflakes and added some teal ink with an ink blending tool.

 

 

To finish of the card I used a beautiful silver, puffy snowflake sticker.

Something new...

For the Simon Monday Challenge the theme for this week is Something New. Great theme for just after the holidays! Because if you are a crafter, like me, you probably got some crafting goodies for Christmas, just like me <3 . Just look at some of the goodies I got :), I love my hubby.

 

 

Using some of the products I got, I created a cute birthday card.

 

 

The balloons are made with a die from some glossy pearlescent paper. I tide a black twine around the bottom and popped them up with some foam tape.

 

 

The photo isn't that great but I hope you get and idea of how it looks. The colors are a bit more vibrant in real life.

 

I also popped up the sentiment and the cute little sheep (I love sheep, they are my favorite animal).
