At sea...

Het thema bij Kleuren met potloden is deze maand een mannen/jongenskaart. Ik koos ervoor om een kaart te maken voor mijn man. Hij gaat volgende week theoretisch examen doen om zijn vaarbewijs te halen en deze kaart leek mij een leuk cadeautje voor als hij slaagt.

 

 

Het is een donker blauwe A5 kaartbasis waarop ik mijn kleurplaat heb aangebracht.

 

Alles werd ingekleurd met Faber-Castell Goldfaber kleurpotloden.

 

Ik was toch heel wat uurtjes zoet met deze kleurplaat!

Tropical yellow...

De challenge voor deze maand bij Carlin's Kaartenparadijs is zomer en geel. Ik hou van de zomer maar geel is niet een van mijn favoriete kleuren. Dit is wat ik er van maakte!

 

The challenge for this month at Carlin's Kaartenparadijs is summer and yellow. I really love summer but yellow is not one of my favorite colors. This is what I came up with!

 

 

Als achtergrond gebruikte ik een patronenpapier met waterverf effect. Ik gebruikte ook een foil transfer en wat gouden folie.

 

For my background I used a patterned paper with watercolor effect. I also used a foil transfer and some gold foil.

 

Voor mijn hoofdelement koos ik een toekan met wat grote gele bloemen, een ananas en blaadjes.

 

For my focal point I used a fun toucan with some big yellow flowers, a pineapple and some leaves.

Things with wings...

Het thema bij 2 Sisters on the blog is deze maand: iets met vleugels.

 

The theme for this month at 2 Sisters on the blog is things with wings.

 

 

Ik gebruikte goud embossing poeder voor mijn ronde vlinder stempel en titel. Ik kleurde mijn ronde vlinder stempel in door mijn Memento Dew Drops te gebruiken als waterverf.

 

I used some gold embossing powder for my round butterfly and sentiment stamp. I colored in my round butterfly stamp by using my Memento Dew Drops as watercolors.

 

 

De achtergrond maakte ik door vlinders te stempelen in een net is donkerder roze dan het papier.

 

To make my background, I stamped some butterflies in a pink color that's just a little darker than the paper.

 

Om men kaart af te werken gebruikte ik wat goude 3D pearl paint.

 

To finish off my card I used some 3D pearl paint in gold.

Het thema bij Knutsels en Kadootjes is deze keer driehoekjes. Zoveel dingen die je hiermee kan doen!

 

This time the theme at Knutsels en Kadootjes is triangles. So many things you can do with this!

 

 

Ik heb gekozen om gebruik te maken van een 3D embossing folder met driehoekjes. Ook gebruikte ik een stukje patronenpapier met driehoekjes zodat mijn cupcake niet lijkt te zweven.

 

I've chosen to use a 3D embossing folder with triangles. I also used en piece of patterned paper with triangles to ground my cupcake.

Denim blue...

Challenge 27 bij 2 Sisters on the blog gaat helemaal over Denim blue.

Ik vond het perfecte patroonpapier voor deze challenge.

 

I found the perfect patterned paper for this challenge.

 

 

Ik stempelde mijn roos en de blaadjes in Memento Dew Drops: Summer sky, Bahama blue en Danube blue.

 

I stamped my rose and leaves with Memento Dew Drops: Summer sky, Bahama blue and Danube blue.

 

 

Mijn titel schreef ik met een blauwe glitter gel pen. Ook maakte ik wat kleine accentjes met deze gel pen rond de roos.

 

I wrote my sentiment with a blue glitter gel pen. I also made some small accents with this gel pen around my rose.

Live big laugh big love big...

For Card Sketch #146 at the Sketch-N-Scrap blog you have to follow the next sketch.

 

I found the perfect journaling card to use as my quote.

 

 

The background is also a journaling card from the same set.

 

 

For my patterned paper I've chosen a marbled paper in pink, purple and teal.

 

 

To finish of the card I used a holographic sticker next to my quote and a teal, pink and holographic heart sticker to accent my quote.

Happy 'bird'day...

Het thema van de voorlopig laatste challenge bij Crazy for CAS is vogels. Jammer dat dit hun laatste challenge is want CAS kaarten zijn mijn favoriete.

 

The theme for the 'for now' last challenge at Crazy for CAS is birds. Too bad this is their last challenge because CAS cards are my favorite.

 

 

Ik gebruikte mijn blending brushes (Action) samen met Memento Dew Drops in Tangelo en Cantaloupe voor mijn achtergrond. Ook gebruikte ik een kippengaas stempel met de Cantaloupe ink om de achtergrond wat meer diepte te geven.

 

I used my blending brushes (Action) together with my Memento Dew Drops in Tangelo and Cantaloupe for my background. I also used a chicken wire stamp with the Cantaloupe ink to give my background some depth.

 

 

Om mijn haan in te kleuren gebruikte ik de Memento Dew Drops in de kleuren Bahama Blue, Lilac Posies, Grape Jelly, Tangelo en Lady Bug als waterverf. Voor het happy 'bird'day bord gebruikte ik Desert Sand en Rich Cocoa.

 

To color my rooster I used the Memento Dew Drops in the colors Bahama Blue, Lilac Posies, Grape Jelly, Tangelo en Lady Bug as watercolor paint. For the happy 'bird'day sign I used Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa.
